5th PersonalizeAF meeting in Bordeaux, France
The University of Bordeaux will host the next PersonalizeAF, during 4th and 5th of July 2022
Next 4 and 5th of July, the PersonalizeAF consortium will meet for the first time in person. After two years of online meetings and workshops, most of the consortium will meet in Bordeaux, France, during two full days of joint work. During those days, the Universitè de Bordeaux will gather the 15 Eartly Stage Researchers doing their PhD within the PersonalizeAF network, together with their supervisors and Partner Organizations in a hybrid meeting. There, we will put in common the work that has been done during this last months and share thir project results.
In this meeting we will address the following topics:
-Progress of each one of the ESRs, in which they will update the consortium during 30 minutes.
-Meeting of the Students Committee
-Meeting of the Communication Committee
-Meeting of the Research, Teaching and Training Committee
-Work Packages updates
-Focus collaborative projects in Computer models, Biology in AF, Standarisation of atrial regions and signal processing.
-A session with the Cardiac electrophysiology Research at LYRIC

Furthermore, we will have the pleasure to have a Keynote talk by Meleze Hocini, M.D, who is an associate professor at Bordeaux University Hospital, Department of Cardiac arrhythmias center in Bordeaux, France led by Michel Haissaguerre. She has more than 20 years of experience in catheter ablation procedures, including atrial fibrillation ablation and ablation of ventricular fibrillation (VF). Her research interests focus on the mechanisms of atrial rhythm disorders and their treatment, as well as mapping and treatment of ventricular fibrillation and evaluation of patients at risk of sudden cardiac death.
Last but not least, the ESRs are attending to different trainings during this month:
Scientific writing training, during 20-24th June A training course in which the ESRs will enhance their skills within internal and external language, and writing a scientific paper step by step.
Heart modeling and numerical simulation training, during 20-24th June, given by Universitè di Bordeaux trainers , course that includes sessions such as modelling cardiac electrophysiology, image segmentation, atria segmentation and atria simulation.
Bordeaux Summer School – Cardiac electrophysiology, during 27th June-1st July: this training is dedicated to the study of fundamental cardiac electrophysiology. It is open to international science and medical students, engineers and experienced researchers wishing to improve their background knowledge.
